OverviewThe Computational Ecology & Epidemiology Study Group (CEESG) is an unofficial affiliation of researchers at the University of Georgia with the shared goal of applying computational methods and biomathematics to the analysis of problems in the population biology, ecology, and evolution of complex systems, with an emphasis on infectious diseases. The Study Group was formed when it was realized that there existed on the University of Georgia campus a substantial body of expertise in this area, but that it was distributed across traditional departmental and disciplinary boundaries. By coordinating training programs and research projects, the Study Group aims to provide students and researchers with both the depth of a tightly focused research program and the breadth of expertise represented by associated faculty. |
